A box tipper receives boxes filled with potatoes and safely unloads the products by tipping them slowly onto the processing line. A receiving hopper acts as a buffer that collects the potatoes as they are dumped and continuously feeds them to a transporting conveyor or elevator. The hopper is designed to distribute the products evenly as they are unloaded on the line. The bin tipper and hopper can easily be controlled to adjust the flow of the products.

The destoner machine is designed to remove stones, dirt, twigs, and other foreign objects that come along with the produce. Products, especially like freshly harvested potatoes, are often very dirty and heavily covered with mud and stones. It is thus important to separate these harmful foreign objects from the potatoes before they proceed to other machines along the line.

The potato washing machine is designed to thoroughly wash the potatoes and remove all the remaining dirt and mud off their surface. The potato washing machine is a combination of a water basin with recirculating water and a rotating drum that agitates the potatoes. The products enter in high volumes into the water basin of the washing machine and are roughly tumbled against each other and against the walls of the rotating drum. Additional water is sprayed from sprinklers above the potatoes to ensure the best cleaning results. The resulting product is a potato free from mud and dirt.

Our polishing machine is designed to clean and polish your produce after the washing machine to give them a premium look and feel. The potato polisher uses special fine brushes that can reach every corner on the surface of the products and remove any residues present. This machine ensures that the potatoes have a smooth finish and a nice glow that will surely capture the attention of the consumers in the market.

The potato drying machine has a series of sponge-like rollers that absorb the water and moisture from the surface of the potatoes. The potatoes enter in high volumes to the dryer after they are washed and are evenly distributed on the sponges. The sponges roll and dry the potatoes as they are pushed forward against each other.

The shake grader is excellent for grading potatoes by size. It is a special potato grading machine that sizes the produce by their square size in four dimensions rather than by diameter only. The shake grader is made of several levels of sieves that have smaller squares with each level. The potatoes are fed at the very top of the shake grader where the sieve is the biggest in size. The sieves are then agitated using motors in sequential frequencies, which cause the potatoes to shake and move along the sieves. The smaller sized potatoes will fall through the sieves depending on their sizes at every level.

The radial grader is another type of grading machine suitable for sizing potatoes based on their diameters. The working principle of the radial grader is that potatoes are fed onto laterally spaced stainless-steel rollers whose gap increases gradually as the potatoes are transported forward over different grading phases. The smaller sized potatoes will fall at the beginning of the machine where the gap is very small, and bigger potatoes fall as the gap becomes larger. It is up to the customer to regulate the grading sizes he wants at every exit of the potato grader.

Our potato sorting machine can be easily integrated to your potato processing line. The optical sorter is equipped with high-speed, high-resolution cameras that capture several images of each potato from all sides under different lighting conditions while it is in midair. The images are then analyzed by our unique vision sorting software which in turn actuates a finger rejection mechanism that delivers a precise shot to the defective potatoes.

There are several types of potato packing machines that can be used to pack the potatoes at the end of the line after they are sized into different grades. The net bagging machine is excellent for packing potatoes into branded net bags for retail. For example, small to medium grades of clean potatoes are usually favored in net bags and could be very attractive for consumers at the supermarket. The uniformly sized potatoes are transported by means of conveyor belts to the net bagging machine where they are weighed on an automatic weighing machine before they drop into the net bags. The resulting bags have a consistent weight and evenly sized potatoes.

It is also possible to pack large quantities of sized potatoes into boxes and big bags. The box and bag filling machines are designed to safely pack your potatoes layer by layer into large boxes or bags at a well calculated fall height without damaging them. The box filling machines are strategically placed at different exits of the line to pack uniformly graded potatoes into the same box or bag. The packed potatoes can then be transported to the distribution center, for storage, or for further processing.
